Explore About Quay Australia & Its Products The problem I'm having is that both of the above methods do an "auto-fade" that starts automatically or on SceneStart / SceneEnd. I may try again, however, because the current method I am using - the GuiTexture based screen fader outlined in the Stealth project - isn't working out too well I have considered PsychicParrot's method using OnGUI DrawTexture, but have had some problems with it. I'm having some difficulties, mostly due to the fact that the different actions I want to do are on scripts attached to various objects (so I'm trying to deal with things like SendMessages and static vars to pass things back and forth) ![]() Then, after the video, I want to fade back in from black for the new life. ![]() I'm trying to fade the screen to black when a player dies, then show a little "death animation" on the screen (using a modified version of Kahalany's Universal Video Texture - so, essentially I am just showing a series of some textures in the middle of the screen) Okay, so, I'm a Unity newbie (but not new to development/programming) and finding that Unity really makes the hard stuff easy, but then things that seem like they should be easy (like dynamically-sized/positioned GUI layouts, or fading the screen) are harder than they should be! :-? ![]()
